A full-circle project for Studio 1820 founder Faten, an LAU graduate. The Lebanese American University asked us to transform the seminar room at its New York Debbane Campus, used for board of trustees meetings and public events. In six weeks, we turned a cold, dated room into a warm, flexible space. Walnut-toned acoustic slat walls with integrated LED lighting absorb sound and add warmth, black built-in cabinetry hides equipment, and a carpeted stage anchors talks and panels. Soft gray carpet tiles, stackable seating and a gallery of black-and-white photographs complete a warm contemporary room that works for meetings, lectures and receptions.
