The Designer behind Studio 1820
" Hi!
My name is Faten (FA-ten, like "Fa" and the number 10). I’m an interior designer with a passion for creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but thoughtful, functional and full of intention. I focus on the details that make a space feel just right and believe that great design should feel personal, not just polished.
In 2023, I earned my NCIDQ certification, and I’m also a proud member of ASID (the American Society of Interior Designers). Over the years, I’ve worked on everything from cozy city apartments to full-scale residential and commercial projects. I love helping clients reimagine their spaces in ways that reflect who they are and how they want to live and feel.
My background includes a B.A. in Interior Architecture and a Master’s degree in Design from Milan, and I’ve had the chance to work with incredible design firms along the way. That experience shaped my multidisciplinary approach, which often crosses into bespoke furniture, product design and architectural consulting.
In 2013, I was honored to receive the Global Impact Grant Award for my volunteer work renovating a Pediatric Chemo Unit—an experience that reminded me of the deeper role design can play in people’s lives. I’ve also had the opportunity to showcase my own product designs at the 2017 Chelsea Market event in New York, part of a collection created in collaboration with underprivileged women to support community development through design.
Today, through Studio 1820, I continue to explore how design can be both meaningful and transformative, and I’m always excited to collaborate with clients who want to bring new life to the spaces they call their own.
