We hired Faten for our apartment renovation in Chelsea, NY. From the outset, she demonstrated an exceptional level of expertise and creativity that far exceeded our expectations. Faten was instrumental in helping us completely overhaul our new apartment, including the installation of a stunning new kitchen by Poggenpohl. Her keen eye for detail was evident in every aspect of the project, from the meticulous selection of furniture to the overall aesthetic of the space. Another aspect of Faten’s service that we greatly appreciated was her skill in coordinating with contractors. She took care of checking the quality of the contractors' work, down to the last detail, and helped us keep delays to a minimum. Faten showed clear understanding of New York City's building codes. Her in-depth knowledge in this area was invaluable, ensuring that our renovation project was not only beautiful but also up to code. Faten and team were an absolute dream to work with. As a busy working professional, I did not have time to follow the entire design and construction process, but wanted to ensure high level results. Faten was able to take over design and oversee construction, which made things so much easier for me. Her vision was a perfect match to my taste and her eye for construction issues and details was second to none. I would highly recommend Studio 1820 to anyone looking for high end results and minimal construction stress.Read More

I HIGHLY recommend working with Faten. I found Faten on Houzz a for a living room update; help with the layout, rug, couches, coffee table. Faten has an effective and clear communication style which was so helpful in working with her. She is very skilled in spacial design and has beautiful design taste. After our initial email exchanges, she worked on a game plan to provide several living room layouts to match my goals/use of the room. She came over to take measurements and once a layout was selected, she put together multiple options for me to choose from for each piece of furniture. It was an effortless process for me as she continued to pick options until a full plan was agreed upon that met all of my budget/style/layout needs. That took less than 2 weeks. From there, she took over the ordering from the vendor and ensured all the correct paperwork was filed for my building. To no fault of hers, there was an issue with the delivery and she went above and beyond to work with the vendor on the issue, which took a lot of time and effort on her part. I love the layout of my living room, the new sectional and rug, and awaiting one more piece for the coffee table. My family (and I) think it looks great and is a big improvement comfort/style/usability from what I had. 10/10 experience!Read More

It was terrific working with Studio 1820 to make our new UES apartment look and feel like a beautiful, functional home. Faten brings both creativity and practicality -- understanding the needs of a busy family and children while making the spaces inviting, with long-lasting and beautiful pieces that stayed completely within budget. She also has a wealth of knowledge of working in the NYC specifics and could connect us to vendors and other support, making the moving effort so much more seamless. Faten has an efficient and effective process to understand her clients and presents just enough options to help round out the decision making. She is a true professional and I whole heartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional designer.Read More
